Si bien en cuanto al sonido puede ser bastante parecido al de otras bandas como Pearl Jam por ejemplo, a mi parecer la banda logra dejar su sello propio del álgún modo en cada tema del disco.
Entonces, entrando a revisar los temas que me parecen más destacables del disco partimos con "Meat Plow" un tema de unos riffs bastante más lentos y constantes con un bajo de un sonido muy consistente que se hace notar a lo largo del tema, un estribillo más denso que en el coro agarra fuerza, en general un muy buen tema, una gran forma de abrir; "Vasoline" algo más enérgico que el anterior, con un coro muy pegajoso y uso de percusiones en los puentes, melódicamente es muy notable, otro buen tema para continuar disfrutando; "Interstate Love Song" posiblemente sea uno de los temas más memorables del álbum, tanto por su melodía como por el feeling que tiene, un tema a mi gusto muy bien armado, muy creativo, emotivo y al igual que los anteriores, pegajoso, uno de mis absolutos favoritos; "Still Remains" un tema también muy oreja, capaz de llegar fácilmente por su gran melodía que aumenta los tonos en el coro, ees en general lento donde destaco la sencillez vocal de Weiland para transmitir, en general muy agradable; "Pretty Penny" un tema en general acústico hecho a base de acordes y percusiones que lo hacen muy sencilloy encantador, muy bueno; con "Silvergun Superman" volvemos a los riffs más pesados similares a los de Meat Plow, con una voz de tonos mucho más bajos y que cambia de ritmo a mitad del tema donde destaca mucho la base de bajo que finaliza con un solo sostenido, lento, pero lleno de maldito feeling, excelente, otro de mis favoritos; "Big Empty" es otro tema relajado, con toques más acústicos donde se notan más las influencias del blues, mucho más calmo en el estribillo y logra tomar más fuerza en el coro, una grandiosa melodía, emotiva, notable; "Unglued" otro de mis favoritos, más rápido que la línea general del disco, muchos riffs en el estribillo y acordes más suaves en el coro, melódicamente muy animoso, enérgico que al final toma mayor fuerza, buenísimo, otro de mis indiscutidos favoritos; "Army Ants" sigue con esa línea más potente con muy buenos riffs en el estribillo y la voz de Weiland llena de fuerza, un ritmo en general constante, melódicamente muy bueno y un genial solo de guitarra, maestro; y para terminar "Kitchenware & Candybars" cierra con broche de otro, un tema en general lento que de a poco va introduciendo nuevos sonidos como los de un teclado y violines, las guitarras toman mayor distorsión en los riffs, muy bueno también, un genial cierre.
Pues, al final la gran mayoría de los temas me gusta mucho y bueno, este disco es de esos que escucho sin que me aburra en lo absoluto, tiene temas de muy fácil llegada sobretodo por sus melodías muy frescas y un grandioso feeling, además que musicalmente me parece muy notable, sencillo, pero muy bien construido y de buen complemento donde nada destaca mucho por sobre lo otro, sino que la composición en general. Absolutamente recomendado.
